Remarks

Eva Scott Fenyes and Charles Lummis, founder of the Southwest Museum, corresponded about their shared interest in Spanish, Mexican, and Native American cultures of the old Southwest. In this letter, Lummis describes his desire and plan “to preserve these gems of California romance and of real music” and promotes his soon to be released songbook Spanish Songs of Old California.
