The Pasadena Museum of History would like your input!
The Museum has an ongoing mission to gather and share historically significant stories from the Community. We are looking for important “untold” stories that can be used for the basis of future exhibitions and public programming. We also would like to add selected materials to our archives so they will be available to the public for research purposes. We know that many important stories exist that deserve to be told, but they need to be identified and researched before they can be presented properly. As a member of our community, we hope you can help.
What is an “untold” story?
We are looking for stories that shed light on the complexity of our community but perhaps are not well known today; stories from the past that would have relevancy and meaning to our visitors today and tomorrow. Areas of interest are wide-ranging, but could include family and ethnic history, business history, political and cultural history. Themes could explore important individual events, connected historical activities or multi - generational stories. Three ideas for themes that we have been discussing are “Community Heroes,” “Women Who Made the Difference,” and “Inspiring Teachers,” but we know there are many more.
In presenting an exhibition at the museum it is critical that we can offer a well researched story with related materials including photos, documents, letters, artifacts, and ephemera. With outreach into the community, we hope to meet people that can help us in this effort.
Please fill out the form below to share your ideas. You may send the form to us electronically (click on "Submit" when you have completed the form) or print it out and mail or bring it to us in person. Thank you!
