Join us for a frighteningly delightful evening as film historian and musicologist Galen Wilkes presents, Flickers from the Silver Scream. We’ll watch phantoms, ghouls, and goblins from classic horror movies pursuing their diabolical deeds in clips from vintage films spanning the 1890s to the 1940s. Program highlights include the earliest surviving Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, a silent film from 1912; 95th anniversary celebrations of the 1931classics Dracula and Frankenstein; and a “Horror Scope” remembrance of the tragic actor/horror cult icon, Rondo Hatton. Don’t miss some thrillingly scary celluloid!
Running time is 75 minutes. Program will begin at 7:00 pm; PMH Galleries will be open for viewing at 6:00 pm.
Space is limited; advance reservations required.
