Members Only – In Bed with Broadcasting

June 11 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$30

Out & Abouts 2019 logoAltadena native Ken Davis first fell in love with broadcasting when he watched the DJs at Pasadena’s legendary KRLA Radio. Little did he know he would later find himself face-to-face with a notorious serial killer in the middle of the night; be nearly shot by a world famous music producer; and hang out with everyone from Barack Obama to Water Cronkite to Julia Louis-Dreyfus. These are just a few of the many exciting and often humorous adventures in Davis’ memoir In Bed with Broadcasting about his Emmy-award-winning career in television. Davis will share insider stories and autograph his book, which will be available for purchase. This event will take place at the 1890 home originally built for David J. MacPherson, the civil engineer who designed the Mount Lowe Scenic Railway.

Program begins at 6:00 pm.  All programs take place all or in part outdoors and include walking and steps; flat shoes only. In the event of rain, please consider your reservation a donation.

Our popular lectures for PMH Members, the At Home series, has been rebranded Out & About.  Join fellow PMH Members for these exclusive evenings featuring interesting people and interesting places. For the full list of 2019 Out & About lectures, please visit our Members’ Events page.
