CRAFTING MEMORIES: Family Free Day
Sunday, October 12 | 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
PASADENA HERITAGE’S CRAFTSMAN WEEK is back October 12 through 19. Join Pasadena Heritage along with partners Pasadena Museum of History, The Gamble House, Judson Studios, and others across the city for a weeklong celebration of Craftsman architecture, design, and preservation. Enjoy exclusive home tours, guided walking tours, lectures, and more.
At Pasadena Museum of History, explore our new exhibitions: Stories, Traditions & Designs: Spotlighting the African American Quilters of Los Angeles and Cha-Rie Tang: 48 Years of Making Art in Pasadena. Visitors are also invited to enjoy mini self-guided tours of the historic 1906 Beaux Arts Fényes Mansion and the Finnish Folk Art Museum. Docents will be available throughout the site to answer questions and provide additional insights. Get creative with Art 2 Go’s ceramic tile workshop, a hands-on activity designed for all ages and skill levels. Craft a unique keepsake inspired by the art and beauty surrounding you in our galleries, gardens, and the Fényes Mansion.

The Gamble House welcomes all ages for a free day of architecture, art, and exploration. Enjoy self-guided tours of the first and second floors. The Pasadena Conservatory of Music’s “Musical Storytime” will take place outdoors under the big oak tree. Create a scenic interpretation of your Gamble House visit with a variety of papers, cards, and images with Gloria Newton from Remainders Creative Reuse. Enjoy the interactive pinwheel art installations of local artist Jerolyn Crute Sackman that celebrate motifs found in the house.
