Pasadena Palette: Selections from Pasadena Museum of History's Collection

An exhibition celebrating artists who lived and worked in Pasadena, portraits of notable residents, and vibrant scenes painted throughout the Crown City.

March 7, 2026 – December 27, 2026

Since its founding as the Pasadena Historical Society in 1924, the Museum’s collections have flourished thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our donors and patrons. While many visitors know and love the Fényes Painting Collection on view in the landmark Fényes Mansion, few are aware of the remarkable paintings preserved behind the scenes.

Pasadena Palette brings these hidden treasures into the spotlight. The exhibition will feature approximately 50 paintings celebrating artists who lived and worked in Pasadena, portraits of notable residents, and vibrant scenes painted throughout the Crown City. Together, these works reveal the rich artistic legacy of Pasadena and offer a rare opportunity to experience paintings seldom seen by the public. The exhibition will be on display from March 7 through December 2026.

Thank you to our generous donors, The Paloheimo Foundation and Susan Stevens and Family.
