Join PMH Curator of History and Exhibitions Julia Long on three upcoming Exploring Pasadena on Foot walking tours. Learn about Pasadena’s unique history on these two-hour strolls through the city. Each tour will cover a different historical topic and location in the city.

Pasadena grew rapidly at the beginning of the 20th century. Magnificent resort hotels attracted visitors from near and far, inspiring some to stay. On this tour, we’ll explore some of the earliest residential subdivisions, including Westmoreland Place and Prospect Park. Lined with majestic camphor trees, Prospect Park boasts houses designed by some of the era’s most celebrated architects, including Wallace Neff, Myron Hunt, and even Frank Lloyd Wright. We’ll stroll through the Arroyo Terrace neighborhood and its many Greene & Greene residences. You’ll learn about the fascinating (and sometimes quirky) people who called this area home, as well as the architecture and botanical environment of these neighborhoods overlooking the Arroyo Seco.
