Pasadena Museum of History launched its Centennial Year offerings with an exhibition that was part origin story, part retrospective, and a tribute to the early, privately amassed predecessors of modern-day museums. Cabinet of Curiosities: Celebrating 100 Years of Collecting Pasadena History showcased a wide variety of singular objects from the Museum’s collections.

As in times past, our Cabinet of Curiosities featured wondrous objects selected by volunteers, staff, and past curators for their personal significance and uniqueness.

The theme of the exhibition was expanded in a virtual media campaign, Centennial Exposition: 100 Objects in 100 Days that offered a glimpse into the diverse holdings in our treasure trove through a series of posts over 100 consecutive weekdays on our Facebook and Instagram platforms.
